IMAS International Early Years
IMAS Early Years Centre At IMAS Early Years Centre (EYC), we firmly believe that learning extends well beyond the classroom walls, which is why our comprehensive approach to the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) is specifically designed to unlock the potential in your young learners. We understand that every child is unique, and have therefore crafted our educational approach to help young children build a solid foundation of essential skills while cultivating their individual interests and talents. Our curriculum thoughtfully blends the IEYC with Arabic, Islamiyat, and Quran studies, alongside foundational reading competencies and a robust foundation in mathematics. Our primary objective is to establish a nurturing, secure and empowering environment with the support of our early years specialists. They are committed to creating an atmosphere that ignites creativity, curiosity and a lifelong passion for learning.
Our Curriculum Explained
The Early Years Centre @ IMAS offers the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) to students in K1 and K2. Our choice of IEYC adapted to the specific needs of our children recognizes the global best practice in early childhood education in supporting key areas of learning through holistic enquiry and play-based approaches as well as personal, social and emotional development. IEYC is taught through learning strands which are further explained below.
Entry Point
Activities that begin each unit of work. It gets the learners excited about what they will learn in each new unit.
Capturing Curiosity
allows the children to reveal what they already know about the topic, and what they want to know about the theme they are learning.
Enabling the Environment
allows the children to reveal what they already know about the topic, and what they want to know about the theme they are learning.
The Big Picture
The Big Picture provides children and families with some context to an IEYC unit of learning so that connections between previous and new learning can be made.
Explore & Express
The Explore and Express parts of the process when the children engage in lots of opportunities and experiences where children play and learn together.
Exit Point
The Exit Point is where children share, reflect on and celebrate their learning.

Nurturing Friendship and Faith from the Start
At IMAS, our youngest learners begin their journey not only in academics, but in friendship, faith, and character. From the moment they walk through our doors, children are welcomed into an environment that celebrates kindness, encourages curiosity, and fosters respect for others. Moments like these—filled with smiles, warmth, and genuine connection—are a natural part of the rhythm of school life. Whether they are sitting together in quiet reflection, sharing a story, or helping a friend with a small task, every experience is shaped to develop a strong moral foundation and a sense of belonging. We believe that in these early years, children’s hearts are as ready to grow as their minds. That’s why our approach blends joyful learning with values-based guidance, ensuring each child feels safe, supported, and inspired to become a compassionate and confident learner.
Wonder in Every Touch
Our team will support your child’s development by:
- Carefully setting out open ended materials to support children to initiate and engage in play.
- Observing and documenting your child’ s interactions, interests and development.
- Planning daily routines and experiences to develop independence, extend your child’s thinking and enable them to build new learning.
- This learning will regularly be shared with you through a personalized online learning profile, parent meetings and other events.
