Eligibility Criteria

Academic & Intellectual Readiness Students should demonstrate the critical-thinking and problem-solving skills expected at their target grade level. We welcome those with mild to moderate learning differences—provided we can meet their needs through our existing support services. Depending on the child's most recent school report, translated into English, all prospective students, except for Early Years, have to pass the Placement Test (PT) to enroll in the school.
English Language Pathways
  • Students joining Early Years Studies or transferring from accredited English-medium schools may skip ELIC and join directly in their appropriate year group, pending a brief placement assessment.
  • Applicants not yet fluent in English begin in our ELIC immersion program, build confidence and skills, then transition into grade-level classes once they meet our proficiency benchmarks.
Physical Independence & Accessibility Successful applicants must be able to navigate our campus—classrooms, playgrounds, corridors—either independently or with the support of designated staff. We admit a limited number of students requiring mild physical accommodations.
Social & Behavioral Engagement We look for students who display respect, responsibility, and collaboration in line with our community values. A small number of applicants needing structured social–emotional or behavioral guidance are admitted, provided we can offer the appropriate support framework.
Co-curricular & Community Contribution Beyond academics, IMAS values enthusiastic participation in sports, arts, service projects, and clubs. We seek students who will enrich campus life and embrace leadership, teamwork, and creativity.
Special Needs Policy At this time, IMAS does not offer specialized programs for complex disabilities (e.g., autism spectrum disorders). We are therefore unable to admit applicants requiring those levels of specialized support.

Note: Meeting these criteria does not guarantee admission; space and resources in each division are limited. Our Admissions Team is happy to discuss any questions you have about these guidelines and to help you determine whether IMAS is the right fit for your child.

Priority & Placement

When applications exceed capacity in a division, applicants are prioritized as follows:

  1. Siblings of currently enrolled IMAS students
  2. Children of IMAS faculty & staff
  3. Alumni families or children
  4. Returning students
  5. Students with English language skills
  6. General applications from all nationalities

Scholarships

Overview

At IMAS, we believe that excellence should be rewarded and financial barriers minimized. Our scholarship program is designed to support high-achieving and deserving students by reducing—or, in exceptional cases, fully waiving—tuition fees. Scholarships are:

  • Partial: Tailored to each family’s circumstances.
  • Fixed (A-Level): Predefined percentages based on outstanding exam results.

All awards are subject to availability and the final approval of the IMAS Scholarship Committee.

Partial Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria

Students may be considered for a partial scholarship if they demonstrate one or more of the following:

  • Academic Status & Merit: Outstanding academic performance relative to cohort.
  • Financial Need: Documented household income below prescribed thresholds. 

Selection & Approval

  1. Latest transcripts, standardized‐test scores, proof of income and letter of scholarship request must  be submitted before  the end of July.
  2. The IMAS Scholarship Committee reviews all applications in August every year.
  3. Scholarships are granted based on a combined assessment of merit, need, availability and committee recommendations.

Fixed Scholarships (A levels)

For students entering the A-Level program, IMAS offers a clear, merit-based tuition waiver structure ,if the students get the required grades in IGCSE or SPM:

Note: “A*” refers to top-tier grades; “A” refers to standard top grades. Combinations (e.g. 8 A* + 1 A) qualify for the 75 % bracket.


Maintenance of Scholarships

To continue receiving any scholarship—partial or fixed—recipients must:

  • Maintain a minimum average grade of B in all subjects each semester.
  • Scholarship recipients must demonstrate exemplary conduct at all times, upholding the IMAS Code of Conduct and treating all members of the community with respect.
  • Recipients are required to comply fully with all school policies—including attendance, uniform standards, and acceptable use of technology
  • Notify the Scholarship Committee immediately of any sudden change in financial circumstances.

Failure to meet these requirements will trigger a review; persistent underperformance (overall average below B) may result in reduction or withdrawal of the scholarship.

Inquire

Browse the school website and  this Admission page to review programs, deadlines and entry requirements. If you have any questions about your child’s pathway, you can 

  • fill in the “Contact Us” form, 
  • or book a tour, 
  • or email / whats-app / call our Admissions Office for assistance.

Online

Application

You will have to provide the primary guardian’s information using the application form below. Once this information is submitted, a portal account will be created automatically for the guardian and an email will be sent to you with the login credentials along with details  on how to access the portal.

Activate

Portal Access

From the email you will receive , activate the portal account. This account will serve as the main access point to manage the application process, including submitting student applications, uploading documents, and providing additional guardian or family details as required.

Prepare

Documents

For each student and guardian, gather digital copies of:

  • A recent passport-size photo (5 × 5 cm, white background)
  • A color-scanned PDF of their passport information page (and visa if any)  or for Malaysian students they can use birth certificate / NRIC

Complete Application 

From the portal, complete the application for each student and guardian in the family. Our admissions team will review and validate each profile and we will get back to you as soon as possible. (usually within 3 working days)

Additional

Requirements

If requested, you may be asked to: 

  • provide:further documents (e.g., previous transcripts, medical certificates, legal guardianship) 
  • or arrange placement assessments for your child(ren).

Acceptance

of Offer

An official offer letter along with the school's Terms & Conditions will be sent to your parental portal and email  Review the offer letter, along with the T&C then you can accept by signing the offer (digital signature) .

Invoice & Payment 


Once you accept the offer letter an Invoice will be issued to your portal  Pay the registration fee and first-semester tuition through our secure payment gateway by the deadline noted in the invoice. You can also opt to pay for the entire year to enjoy an additional 4% early bird discount.

Get ready to study!


From this website you using our E-Shop you can order the books, uniform and necessary tools, required for your child(ren) enrollment, then attend Orientation Day with your child(ren) to complete final enrollment steps, tour our facilities, meet faculty, and receive student IDs, books, uniforms and the Chromebook.

The size of each class is approximately between 25-30.

Our beautiful campus is built to inspire and expand the minds of our students. Our facilities include:

  • A large library for both older and younger students
  • State-of-the-art auditoriums & 1 prayer hall
  • Deli-style canteens overlooking a green courtyard
  • A full-sized football field & futsal court
  • A basketball court & volleyball court
  • A playground for preschool students
  • 3 fully-equipped science labs
  • 3 computer labs

Primary school is co-ed.

In secondary school, the girls and boys are separated.

However, they share other facilities in the campus.

Yes, except for A levels students

IMAS has more than 60 nationalities.

Malay and Arabic food are available in the school cafeteria.

Depending on the child's most recent school report, translated into English, all prospective students, except for Early Years,  have to pass the Placement Test (PT) to enroll in the school.

The Placement Test is to gauge the level of competence in the English language and the knowledge of fundamentals of mathematics and science a prospective student should have to enroll in the desired grade. Primary students only take the English Placement Test. Secondary students take English, Math and Science.

Note that the assessment material is private and a property of the school. Parents are not entitled to view or obtain copies prior to or after the child's assessment.

Your child has to take the English Language Intensive Course (ELIC) before enrolling to the mainstream classes.

We strive to provide your child with the best of both worlds as our curriculum seeks to blend quality British education alongside Arabic and Islamic education. 

The main medium of instruction in the school is English.
